SMS for your favorite astronaut!

I don't know if it's finally caught on in the states or not, but Malaysia has SMS fever. There is almost nothing you can't do with SMS here. Pay your bills, vote for Malaysian Idol, pay tolls on the highway... (kind of scary...) and now, as Malaysia prepares to send it's first astronaut into space in 2007 (abroad a Russian shuttle), Malaysians will be able to vote on who they'd like to send via SMS!

Last year alone, Malaysians sent 3 billion SMS. Remember, Malaysia only has a population of 20 million!

Yes, there is nothing you can't do via SMS and nowhere you can't take your cellphone. Just ask my teachers at school who regularly answer their phones in the middle of class... And the students who do the same... Scary thing... driving down the highway and looking into the car next to you, only to see the driver typing away on their cellphone! Arrrgghhh!
