I'm fascinated with these old colonial era houses that have fallen into disrepair like this... This one will meet the same fate as the Chinese School behind the bulldozer in the last pic below. Most likely, a highrise condo will take it's place...

That said, Penang seems to be doing a pretty good job with striking a balance between preserving history and continuing to progress and develop...
